| The Diary | |
Normally I don't keep a holiday diary. However, for this trip, like the Canada one, I decided to keep a set of notes to help me remember the events of each day. On my return I typed them up into a Scrap Book together with all the memorabilia - tickets, brochures, postcards and photographs. These, and the accompanying photograph albums were well received. They were natural candidates for publishing on the web, when I decided to teach myself HTML, Javascript etc. Each web page is a diary day, using the original words (but laid out for browsing) and may contain links to photographs that will pop up in the middle of the screen like so. I have tried to provide a simple navigation system - only you can tell if it works. (The Camels are buttons for 'Previous' and 'Next' - but you knew that didn't you?) |
| The Photo Gallery | |
Despite the reader being able to pop up relevant images from within the Diary, I have provided a Photo Gallery so that (perish the thought) those who don't want to read the Diary, can look at thumbnail images and click on any that interest them |
| The Factoids | |
Didn't really know what else to call them. Some knowledge I have gleaned on the trip about things like tipping and the cost of the merchandise you are likely to be sold, together with mileages, a table of the ungodly hours we had to get up at etc. etc.
|
| The Links Page | |
Simply links to sites I found useful and/or entertaining both before, whilst I was researching the impending trip and after, when I was looking up additional information. |
